FAQs on hardscaping & pavers in Utah
How much does a paver patio cost in Salt Lake City?
Cost depends on size, the pavers you choose, and site prep like grading and base work. We give you a clear, itemized quote up front so there are no surprises.
Pavers or stamped concrete — which is better for Utah?
For our freeze-thaw climate we almost always recommend pavers. They flex with the ground instead of cracking, and a single damaged paver can be swapped without redoing the whole surface.
How long does a hardscape project take?
A typical patio or walkway runs a few days to about a week depending on size and access. The base work is what makes it last, so we never rush it.
Will my patio heave or settle in winter?
Not when it’s built right. We install on a compacted, well-drained base with proper edge restraint — the engineering that keeps pavers flat and true through Utah winters.
Do I need a permit for a patio or driveway?
Sometimes, depending on size, location, and your city. We’ll tell you what your project needs and handle the details so it’s done by the book.
How much maintenance do pavers need?
Very little — the occasional sweep and rinse, and re-sanding the joints every few years. We’ll walk you through keeping them looking new.
